Since the opening of the Gyeongbu High Speed ​​Railroad and Honam high speed railroad, settlements exceeding the settlement standards have been continuously occurring in the embankment sections, which has led to increase maintenance costs and problems such as reduced operation speeds. Accordingly, in this study, the causes of settlements in high-speed railroad embankment sections were analyzed, and in order to predict the creep settlement behavior, which is the main cause of settlement, a large-scale long-term creep test was performed according to Group A, Group B, and stabilized Group B used as fill material for railroad roadbeds. The creep coefficients were calculated, and the long-term creep behaviors of high speed ​​railroad embankment heights were analyzed by applying the numerical analysis using the two-dimensional Softclay creep model and the settlement formula proposed by Charles (2008). The embankment height and the abandonment period for high-speed railroad that reflect this were proposed. Currently, most domestic designs do not review the compressive settlement of the embankment itself, so it is judged necessary to design the embankment material to reflect the creep settlement characteristics and embankment height.
